Approach with confidence!

Have you ever had a relationship that you needed to seek forgiveness from the other person, yet you felt like you couldn't? Was the fear because maybe you realized at that moment that one area you felt failure in was your lack of investment in that relationship? Or was it that you treasured that relationship so much? Are we doing the same thing with our relationship with God?

Here is your stone!! "Let us then approach God’s throne of grace with confidence, so that we may receive mercy and find grace to help us in our time of need. "(Hebrews 4:16 NIV).

Approaching the throne with confidence? That is not a confidence that is built on how much we give to the relationship, rather its built on the truth of what God did for us!! If He was willing to make that sacrifice for you and I when we were known to fail, He is ALWAYS ready to give us grace. Go to Him confidently with knowing HIS love. We can't let our lack of investment in our relationship with Him, lessen the truth of His sacrifice for us.

Not mine..... Yours!!!

As we prepare for 2013, many will set a goal list or at least talk about the different items or even a single change they want to accomplish next year. Isn't it interesting the things we plan? I mean there are things we do need to do, but isn't our goal to live out His plan? Can we approach a new year with no idea of what it holds with the attitude that Christ did the night before He was to be crucified?
Here is your stone!! "“Father, if you are willing, take this cup from me; yet not my will, but yours be done.”" (Luke 22:42 NIV). As Him as our example, can we submit to His will? Will you commit to a new list you create or to the You list by the creator?

Opportunity Opposition

There are times in life when we feel like a door has been opened and we are ready for some amazing opportunity. It is something that we know that God is all over. Then as we step through the door and begin moving forward, WHAM!! Opposition begins. Doubt creeps in. Fear sneaks up. Was God really there? YES!!!
Here is your stone!! "because a great door for effective work has opened to me, and there are many who oppose me." (1 Corinthians 16:9 NIV).
God is getting ready to do something BIG. Get ready. If you are feeling opposition or resistance, it's because you are moving forward. Idleness does not create opposition.

PC or JC

Over the years we have all been told and challenged to be more "PC" (politically correct). It has gotten to a point that it has become second nature to many. I will admit that in some cases a PC approach makes a little sense, but not when it comes to my savior! As a follower are we suppose to see that change?
Here is your stone!! "neither height nor depth, nor anything else in all creation, will be able to separate us from the love of God that is in Christ Jesus our Lord." (Romans 8:39 NIV).
That separation happens when we don't speak of Him daily. So which is your priority, PC or JC? I pick Jesus!!

Pit Growth

Have you ever felt defeated, tapped out, or even simply burned out with a situation or challenge. Often it becomes decision time to throw up your hands and quit or to grab ahold and ride it out. Either of these may be right, but it's the time up to that point that you have to reflect. It is during those times that you are given the most wisdom in the process of what appears to be a time of failure.

Here is your stone!! "Let perseverance finish its work so that you may be mature and complete, not lacking anything." (James 1:4 NIV)

Not lacking ANYTHING!!! It's during those times when Christ is working in you and providing you with all you need to GROW FORWARD!!! How will you Grow today?

Bench mark

Have you ever found yourself justifying how you are or how you handle a situation? Maybe you have found an opportunity that allows you to compare yourself to another person. Often we might even compare ourselves to other "believers". Just like a lion finds the weakest in a herd, we allow ourselves to find the faults in others to base our comparisons. Wow, not much of a benchmark is it?
Here is your stone!! "We do not dare to classify or compare ourselves with some who commend themselves. When they measure themselves by themselves and compare themselves with themselves, they are not wise." (2 Corinthians 10:12 NIV). We must recognize that we all fail and yet God knows we are not perfect. Our benchmark- Jesus!! Strive to be like Him and know that God understands we won't make that level, but will glorify Him on the journey.

Out of sight out of mine.

We are always willing to share our faith right? I mean any time someone wants to pray for a meal, we are jumping right in! If others talk about needing prayer or even say they will pray for us, we don't even get offended. I mean most Sundays, we are even willing to go to church. I'd bet that if asked on a application or form, we might even pick Christian from the list. I mean if push came to shove, we would even get a little frustrated about all the talk of separation of church and state. This is BIG! Or is it? You know that most of us can live our lives in the world and never really step out and share our faith, live out our faith, or even show our passion for Jesus OUR Savior! The reason, well.....
Here is your stone!! "Yet at the same time many even among the leaders believed in him. But because of the Pharisees they would not openly acknowledge their faith for fear they would be put out of the synagogue;" (John 12:42 NIV). That fear of being "put out" of something or some group is the fear that keeps our faith hidden. He saved our lives!! Why would we not talk about this all the time!!!! Give Him some praise! People need to see your passion!!!

Step down.

Humility, a word we all know but do we live with it. Son often we do things to be recognized. To get praise for those things in a world so filled with competition, pride, and self interest. Truth is that any real greatness we gain is all part of His plan, not ours. God continues to place opportunities before us to "succeed". So why would we take the credit. If we could live as we are called, imagine the amazing things we could be in trusted with for His glory..

Thought of the weak!

As a teen and into my twenties and early thirties, I was completely aware of how perfect Christians thought they were. Often hearing it through their condemning of others around them. Obviously that condemnation was spoken to other Christians about someone else. Yet I never heard about their failures. About their reality. As a non believer at the time, I found myself seeing it as joke, insult, and something I wanted nothing to do with. Then there came a night, as men shared their failures, struggles, and how they were working on them, through God's strength. Wow!! I needed that!! Within hours, I made the most important decision, that I am never going to be perfect, but could have a relationship with the Perfecter. I once heard a pastor say, "Share your strengths and you build walls, Share your weaknesses and you build bridges." It's not our "perfect talk" that gives us freedom, it is His Grace!!

Here is your stone!! "But he said to me, “My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness.” Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ’s power may rest on me." (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV)

Let His power rest on you and build bridges today!!! Thank You Jesus!!!!!

Ask Believe Live

Have you ever asked for anything and not gotten it? Of course we have!! We always ask for something, but usually it is either a fleshy or prideful want. What about a REAL FAITH REQUEST? Something that you knew would align with God's word? Maybe we have and then the enemy brings doubt. We must ask in Faith and Believe God will deliver!!

Here is your stone!! "But when you ask, you must believe and not doubt, because the one who doubts is like a wave of the sea, blown and tossed by the wind." (James 1:6 NIV). Ask, Believe, Live it out!!

L I V E!!!!!

I believe!!! Do you??? We often talk about our faith in an abbreviated manner. What I mean is that so often I hear the words, "I believe that Jesus walked the Earth, was crucified, and rose from the dead and is now with God in Heaven.". Would you agree with that statement? This is a true statement, but there is more!! He IS STILL ALIVE!! He is living with us today. As a believer we must see Him in our daily lives because so many have become blind to His presence. Open your eyes and recognize Him today!!!

Live today!!! God have us this gift of life today. How will you make the most of it to bring Him glory?

Enriched!!!

Get ready!!! I mean really get ready. Have you had your morning cup of joe? Here ya go. Get ready for God to use you today!! Here is your stone!! "For in him you have been enriched in every way—with all kinds of speech and with all knowledge—" (1 Corinthians 1:5 NIV). You are enriched!! No negative speaking or thinking today. Live your enriched life through Christ!!! I love my savior and give Him all praise and glory. Thank God for enriching me with my awesome kids, a great job, and my AMAZING WIFE!!! Today!! Live enriched!!!!!

Recognition.

More and more we are hearing of government, groups, people, companies, etc. that are doing all they can to do away with Christmas. Not surprising at all. What is surprising is the lack of back bone we have as believers. How do we keep it alive? We live it and share it!!! Fact is that every person we look at, could be Christ on earth today. He lives within us and has told us that what we do to our brothers we do to Him.
Here is your stone!! "He was in the world, and though the world was made through him, the world did not recognize him." (John 1:10 NIV). Today, I challenge all of us to seek Christ in those around us. To live out how He has called is to live. Be bold in Love. Shake a hand and say Merry Christmas. Look people in the eyes. Give a gift card to McDonalds to a needy person. Note this " the world did not recognize him." and as a result, they crucified our savior. How similar that sounds today. Doing away with our belief because it offends someone?? I say this., Praise Jesus and MERRY CHRISTMAS!!

Unmasked Transformer!!

As a man, it has often been said that we wear many hats. Our career, our marriage, our children, and even our church. These are easily separated. The challenge is the masks!! Yes, we wear too many masks and it continues to prevent us from being who we have been designed to be. God knew we would be challenged by this and states that we need to Unveil our faces. When we do, we allow Him to transform us!!! Are you ready to allow Him to transform you?!

Eyes of Thanksgiving

This Thanksgiving, I pray that our hearts are opening up to see and share the many things that we are and should be thankful. But as we sit at the table today, will we be the first to share that info? Are we wanting to do that? Or is it better just to eat, laugh, and get back to the game? Imagine if your heart had eyes... How would it see differently that you? Or would it? Let us pray today that as followers, we have allowed Christ into our heart and that we open the eyes of our hearts and see things from that perspective. Then, will you share why you are thankful? Happy Thanksgiving!!

Sun Rise and me!

In our busy lives we get up and go constantly, for work, kids, family, and even ministry work. There are many days that seem to fly by and we feel like we have accomplished a great deal. But have we accomplished the understanding of the greatest deal. Take some time to realize the amazing things that are around you. The sun rise, moon and stars, trees, birds in flight , and even the breeze that is blowing. Wow, take that in for a minute. The huge works around us that God created. What was the purpose for each of the things He creates. Are they serving their purpose? We then remember that the same God who created those amazing things, created us!! Are we fulfilling our purpose or just rushing through tasks?

End is the beginning!

Have you ever felt like you have gotten to that point where you are at the end of your rope. That saying alone means you have nothing else to hold on to, or that you just can't handle this situation any longer. Ready to give up?! PERFECT!!! When we finally realize we can't do it
anymore, we then have to allow Him to take charge. How beautiful. Let go of the robe and grab ahold of His outstretched hand!!

Get Real!!

Let's just sit back and keep things REAL. Everyone of us deserves a hot seat in hell. It's that simple. If we are continually selling ourselves to ourselves with phrases that contain, "Well at least I...." Then we have to wake up. We need to take these words and use them in different ways. "I am least.., but i have the Well ..." Yes!! The Well of Life!!! He came here for a purpose, to save US!! Unworthy US!! Lets grab ahold of this NOW!!

What if? Or He Will!!

Are you worried about anything? Stressed? Isn't that what we find being one of the biggest reasons for illness in our country? I find it interesting how many of us fight to put God in our country and yet we fail to put God in our lives. We are a worried society, which is a problem and yet we have "The Answer"!!
Here is your stone!! "Look at the birds of the air; they do not sow or reap or store away in barns, and yet your heavenly Father feeds them. Are you not much more valuable than they? Can any one of you by worrying add a single hour to your life ?" (Matthew 6:26, 27 NIV). Lets stop worrying and start worshipping!!

Represent

At some point in our lives, we have hopefully been taught that once we put our name on something, we should want it to be the best possible. To take pride in that piece of work or item. Even though we know it would never be perfect, we should still desire the best. Imagine if God allowed you to use His stamp of approval.
Here is your stone!! "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters," (Colossians 3:23 NIV). I have read this verse 100's of times. Picturing going into God's office with my final project to turn in. As I read it today, I thought of it a little differently. What if I viewed it as filling in? God has sent us to do His work for Him. When I finish my day and explain how I handled the jobs for Him, how well did I represent?
What will you produce today and is it worthy of God's signature?

Pioneer Journey!!

I love to take hikes and our family takes one whenever possible. Imagining while we are hiking, what it must have been like going there first. A pioneer! Dictionary.com says a pioneer: "one of a group of foot soldiers detailed to make roads, dig intrenchments, etc., in advance of the main body." To advance the main body.
Here is your stone!! "fixing our eyes on Jesus, the pioneer and perfecter of faith. For the joy set before him he endured the cross, scorning its shame, and sat down at the right hand of the throne of God." (Hebrews 12:2 NIV). He didn't know what the outcome would be. He went forward and created a path for us!! Are you ready to explore?

The Erasing Gift

Do you remember as a child at Christmas or your birthday when you would get that ONE thing you were desiring? You could open everything else, then you'd get that box. Nothing else mattered at that point. Now as adults, we don't think that way. But shouldn't we? God has said to be like a child to enter the kingdom of heaven. If we did that today and thought about what our ONE gift could be?
Here is your stone!! "What is more, I consider everything a loss because of the surpassing worth of knowing Christ Jesus my Lord, for whose sake I have lost all things. I consider them garbage, that I may gain Christ". (Philippians 3:8 NIV). Have you opened up this life changing gift? Or are you distracted by what other things you have?

Insurance or Assurance!?

Imagine if we had prayer insurance. You know, if you had a need and weren't sure how to get it covered, I mean we all pray, right? Praying for our needs. Or maybe it verges on a few wants. Of course we all know that insurance is in the event something happens and we need it handled. The unexpected!! Sometimes we llan and prepare our lives more for the unexpected than we do living for the expected! What can we do to create the expectation?!
Here is your stone!! "If you remain in me and my words remain in you, ask whatever you wish, and it will be done for you."(John 15:7 NIV). Are we really in a constant state of Christ? Do we allow His truth to guide our days? Our lives? Live in Him and allow Him to live in you!! We don't need insurance, we have assurance of His truth!!!!

What kind of day are you having?

Ever heard these phrases? Maybe even used them? "It's just not my day!", "I'm not in a good mood today!", "Man I am in a great mood today!!" There are so many others just like these. So often we let our moods dictate our days. Challenge is, we are called to be like Christ! The Rock!!!

Here is your stone!! "Jesus Christ is the same yesterday and today and forever." (Hebrews 13:8 NIV). He was unchanged from day to day. He was consistent. Daily we must challenge ourselves to rise above the feelings, the struggles, the surroundings, and the emotions and be the rock for those around us. Live like Christ!!

Keep hope alive.

Here is your stone!! "Help, Lord, for no one is faithful anymore; those who are loyal have vanished from the human race." (Psalm 12:1 NIV). Check yourself!! As I read this verse today, it reminded me of where I feel our country is headed. Although at the same time it gives Hope. To say that those who were loyal and faithful have all vanished. Yet the Psalmist is crying out to God. Why? Because he still has faith!! Keep Hope Alive. Cry out to God even though we may feel like we are alone. God hears the cries of His children.

Believing!! Faith!! What does it really mean and what does it take to make this all right. Jesus says,"and whoever lives by believing in me will never die. Do you believe this?" (John 11:26 NIV). There is really two questions, one obvious question, "Do you believe this?" The second is, "Are you living this way?" It's not a question of once saved always saved. Rather, it's a question of are you truly living out His word and example. The answer choice is yes or no. You pick!!!

Mountain

Here is your stone!! ""Truly I tell you, if anyone says to this mountain, 'Go, throw yourself into the sea,' and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen, it will be done for them." (Mark 11:23 NIV). We face our own mountains daily. Are we speaking at it with God's Word. That is step one!! The final deal, faith!
"....and does not doubt in their heart but believes that what they say will happen.." Speak it, Believe it, and See It!! Live that out today!!

Secret Service

I watched a movie recently with my family that was all about the evolving and the role of the secret service. It was amazing to see all of the things they do on a day to day life to protect the president. All of it is not out front but always aware! How cool that would be at times!! Actually, we have that!!!
Here is your stone!! "For he will command his angels concerning you
to guard you in all your ways;" (Psalm 91:11 NIV). Leaps of faith, steps of courage, and acts of boldness. Imagine how much more we could do in those areas if we lived our lives with the realization that we are surrounded! Thank You Jesus! God provides for us in all ways!! Do we live for Him at the same level?

Tool Time

Have you ever noticed that if you have the right tools that the job is performed correctly? Think about a mechanic with a butter knife, not going to yield results!! That shows the importance of the mechanic's choice and the value of the tool.

"Do not offer any part of yourself to sin as an instrument of wickedness, but rather offer yourselves to God as those who have been brought from death to life; and offer every part of yourself to him as an instrument of righteousness." (Romans 6:13 NIV). Be ready as a tool of God and let Him accomplish the task at hand.

Election Time

We are just a few short weeks away from the privilege we are given of voting. There are a number of fears that are created with elections, most if which are done through email forwards and ads. As responsible Christ followers, we must align ourselves with the candidate that best aligns with our foundation. Truth is that whoever wins, God is in control. All through the bible He used those after His own heart and those that would send a believer into a furnace. Question is, are we ready to glorify Him when the polls are open and closed? Understanding that S a country under God, are we holding up our end of the promise?

Here is your stone!! "This is the plan determined for the whole world;
this is the hand stretched out over all nations. For the Lord Almighty has purposed, and who can thwart him?
His hand is stretched out, and who can turn it back?" (Isaiah 14:26, 27 NIV)

What were you thinking??

"What were you thinking?" How many times in your life have you been asked this or even asked yourself this? Many respond, "I don't know!" or "I wasn't thinking!" Thoughts!! We can not let the mind drift and take its own unmanaged direction.

Partnership.

Here is your stone!! "I pray that your partnership with us in the faith may be effective in deepening your understanding of every good thing we share for the sake of Christ." (Philemon 1:6 NIV). We are not expected to do this on our own. This partnership will change the world!!

No Fear.

Here is your stone!! "Have I not commanded you? Be strong and courageous. Do not be afraid; do not be discouraged, for the Lord your God will be with you wherever you go." (Joshua 1:9 NIV). This is a reminder that God's word is purposeful. As children of God, we are not on a cushy journey. At no point should we expect our lives suppose to be easy and uneventful. In fact, as He reminds us of courage and strength, He knows we will face those struggles. We must know that in those times of struggle and fear, are the times when He is even more attentive to our journey. We must begin to live in courage and strength. Let His power be seen through each of us!!

Wisdom for the Road

I recently went on a Segway tour with my amazing wife. The instructor said that one big part of safety was to build a 3 feet mental circle around your body. This way you know and are aware of where your wheels are going. Without that knowledge you can likely tip, hit a curb, and crash. Wisdom being shared that prepares us for an amazing journey. Sound familiar?

Here is your stone!! "My son, do not let wisdom and understanding out of your sight, preserve sound judgment and discretion; Then you will go on your way in safety, and your foot will not stumble." (Proverbs 3:21, 23 NIV)

P and E

Here is your stone!! "so that you may live a life worthy of the Lord and please him in every way: bearing fruit in every good work, growing in the knowledge of God, being strengthened with all power according to his glorious might so that you may have great endurance and patience," (Colossians 1:10, 11 NIV). God provides us strength, knowledge, fruit from our labor, and why? To give us endurance and patience. Whatever it is that we are waiting on and working toward through Him, it WILL happen. Patience and Endurance..

Story time.

Imagine being an author and no matter how great the story goes and how beautiful of an ending you write for that character, they have the ability to do their own thing. You see the struggles they bring on themselves. You love this character. You know how beautiful the ending could be, if they would just let your story unfold and they would trust you. Imagine that!! How would you feel? Now, imagine how God must feel.
Here is your stone!! "Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." (Psalm 139:16 NIV)

But take heart!!!

Here is your stone!! "I have told you these things, so that in me you may have peace. In this world you will have trouble. But take heart! I have overcome the world." (John 16:33 NIV). But take Heart!! That statement means to be confident and take courage. Think that things are getting tough? Be confident and courageous!!! Jesus has already overcome everything in this world!!! Live today with the confidence and courage knowing that we too will overcome this world.

In His Sight!!

Imagine being the worst football player ever (or any sport), and in late December you get a call from the head coach of one of the teams playing in the Super Bowl. He says, I've seen you play and I know all about you and your history and know exactly where you are weak. So I'm calling because I want you on my team!! What? Me? I'm horrible, I can't do this and that. He says, "I know all that stuff." Can you imagine? Wow. Yet we get a much bigger deal and the most amazing coach.
Here is your stone!! "For he chose us in him before the creation of the world to be holy and blameless in his sight. In love (Ephesians 1:4 NIV). He knows we are not perfect, but we are blameless in His sight. That's a good word right there!!!

Come!!!

Here is your stone!! "Come to me, all you who are weary and burdened, and I will give you rest." (Matthew 11:28 NIV). Weary and burdened. I read this and realize that no matter where we are in our journey, shouldn't we all be burdened? Burdened for the lost? Burdened for.... We have got to realize that there is a reason why we are here - Growth. As soon as we realize that we must go to Him, we have immediately gained. Jesus is the source. We can pray about it all day, but we have to Come to Him. It still takes action. Go. Go. Go!!!!'

Try and change someone or share with someone?

Here is your stone!! "so is my word that goes out from my mouth:
It will not return to me empty,
but will accomplish what I desire
and achieve the purpose for which I sent it." (Isaiah 55:11 NIV). It's not our job to change others. It's our job to share His Word and let It do the changing. Who can you share His word with today?

Doubt creator

Here is your stone!! "But whoever has doubts is condemned if they eat, because their eating is not from faith;...," (Romans 14:23 NIV). Wow. As I read that this morning, I am reminded that doubt is a void or wall that we create. It's not taught or researched. It is simply our creation that will separate us from the Creator. What doubt will you replace with faith!!!

Blow out or Comeback

Which is the better game to experience and to watch? Isn't it the comeback game that really shows the true character traits we are given. That makes a QB a leader. Why in life do we expect every situation to be a blow out, the norm, as expected, no worries?
Here is your stone!! "When Mary reached the place where Jesus was and saw him, she fell at his feet and said, "Lord, if you had been here, my brother would not have died." (John 11:32 NIV). Mary felt as though Jesus could have prevented her brother from dying. Think about that, do you think if that would have been the case, that she could have doubted at some point. Maybe.. Now the comeback. Lazarus raised from the dead 4 days later. No room for doubt. If we are in a spot that we feel is not changeable, we just need to give it to the One who can make the comeback!!!

Step it up!!!

Looked up the definition of iron: 1. a ductile, malleable, silver-white metallic element, scarcely known in a pure condition, but much used in its crude or impure carbon-containing forms for making tools, implements, machinery.

It's just not found in a pure condition but I still used in its crude form to accomplish work. We are suppose to be like Iron. Recognize we are not perfect, but still being used. Men, this verse seems to slip by us way too often. It's not a choice whether the iron is strong or not, it just is and it is used to accomplish great works outside of itself. Why do we fail to miss the opportunity to sharpen each other and challenge each other? Quit letting this world dictate that we are suppose to be all soft and pliable. Challenge one another and strengthen each other!!! Let me tell you that it is hard in this world to find MEN who are real MEN!! Be passionate for Jesus, your wife, you kids, and to help challenge each other!! Come on!!! Step it up!!! You can not sharpen iron with a cotton ball!!

Lift up the little things!

Today, someone is going to do a little thing. I small and simple gesture. Sometimes they will do it purposely and sometimes without any thought. Sometimes it's just who they are. What is it? It's a small act of joy, kindness, or service. Maybe it's holding the door or even as simple as smiling while they work. What keeps them going? Encouragement!!

Here is your stone!! "Therefore encourage one another and build each other up, just as in fact you are doing." (1 Thessalonians 5:11 NIV). Lift up those who do the little things today!!

Remember the day? There is a way!!

Remember the day you realized you just can't do this life thing on your own and gave it all to Jesus? Remember at that moment, the path you were on, changed. You had a New Life Plan! Actually that was God's plan not ours. Imagine if we could be perfect from then on and have a perfect plan. Well, how about half of that? Thing is, the plan is perfect because it's God's, we are not perfect and will never be. Doesn't matter, He still wants our plan to be perfect.

Here is your stone!! "being confident of this, that he who began a good work in you will carry it on to completion until the day of Christ Jesus." (Philippians 1:6 NIV). It may feel like it ain't working, but have faith that it is. Continue to give it up and live it out.

Weak?

Here is your stone!! "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me. (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV). We don't grow from sharing our great accomplishments but rather from our failures. I again think about my testing. It is not a story of my great moments of strength and success. It is about weakness, failures, and realization of our dependence on someone much bigger. That is what leads us to Christ. We all fail forward!!

Still thirsty?

Do you ever feel like there is a thirst in your life for something? You go to the places that have brought you "satisfaction". Those things are like wells that we go to sometimes for "refreshment". But do they bring completeness?

Here is your stone!! Jesus answered, "Everyone who drinks this water will be thirsty again, but whoever drinks the water I give them will never thirst. Indeed, the water I give them will become in them a spring of water welling up to eternal life." (John 4:13, 14 NIV). Seek the true well of life!!

Could have been a great story!!

Imagine reading a book or watching a movie and as you go through, pages are missing or the movie skips parts. You can see where they are leading you and then it ends. The movie is messed up, the book is destroyed. What was the outcome going to be? The story seemed great but we don't get to see the great work in its entirety.
Will that be your life review?

Here is your stone!! "Your eyes saw my unformed body; all the days ordained for me were written in your book before one of them came to be." (Psalm 139:16 NIV). He has your story written, will you be obedient and allow Him to complete your story or will you let it all end one day with wonder?

Lean on....

Here is your stone!! " but those who hope in the Lord will renew their strength. They will soar on wings like eagles; they will run and not grow weary, they will walk and not be faint." (Isaiah 40:31 NIV). God is saying; "Lean on Me!!" Whatever challenge, struggle, disappointment, or even frustration you may be facing today, know that you are not alone. He is there for us all!! Lean on Him.. Thank You Jesus!!!

Are you about affiliation or inspiration?

Here is your stone!! "But the Lord said to Samuel, "Do not consider his appearance or his height, for I have rejected him. The Lord does not look at the things people look at. People look at the outward appearance, but the Lord looks at the heart."" (1 Samuel 16:7 NIV). Attending church, wearing crosses, maybe even work for a organization that is the ministry. All of these are awesome things that others are able to see your "affiliations". Yet God looks at our hearts for the real "Inspiration". What is inspiring you today?

Greatness

Here is your stone!! "But may all who seek you rejoice and be glad in you; may those who long for your saving help always say, "The Lord is great!"" (Psalm 40:16 NIV). The Lord is Great!! Let that be your heart starting now. Today, someone will need to hear that word from each of us. The Lord IS Great!!!

He chose Grace! You choose Faith!

Here is your stone!! "For it is by grace you have been saved, through faith—and this is not from yourselves, it is the gift of God—" (Ephesians 2:8 NIV). God Almighty could have chosen any way possible to accept us or not. He chose Grace. On going and eternal forgiveness. Slate cleaning. He chose to give us grace. Yet it is also through our faith. Believing in Him and His Grace. The falls and mistakes of our journey are the steps of our testimony, and how we learn, once we have the faith in God that all is forgiven. Thank You God for Your on going grace in my life.

Lay it down.

Here is your stone!! "Greater love has no one than this: to lay down one's life for one's friends." (John 15:13 NIV). This verse was the verse used in my first "Here is your stone!!" text message. As I read it then and I read it now, I look at laying down ones life to have meanings beyond just physical sacrifice. As a man, the hardest thing to do at times is to share our life. Whether it be about my weaknesses and failures, my time, or my heart felt challenges. We have to be able to share and go deep. Start now, start today, go to a trusting person and just talk. Allow God to use your story to give Him Glory!!!

Two Points of Truth

Here is your stone!! "Very early in the morning, while it was still dark, Jesus got up, left the house and went off to a solitary place, where he prayed. Simon and his companions went to look for him, and when they found him, they exclaimed: "Everyone is looking for you!"" (Mark 1:35-37 NIV). 2 points.
1. Jesus got up early and prayed, are we following that example?
2. Everyone was looking for Jesus. Are we all seeking Him out?
These are two clear points that we must grab ahold of now. If we fail here, how will it affect our journey, or is the journey already a second priority?

Ever Present!!

Here is your stone!! "God is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble." (Psalm 46:1 NIV). So often we think when things are getting difficult, that God has left us alone. Truth is that He is there with His arms wide open! Ever present!!! Always there!!! When it gets tough, know that the direction you choose can draw you closer or further away!! Seek Him First!!!

Ahh

Here is your stone!! "Peace I leave with you; my peace I give you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid." (John 14:27 NIV). Peace.... Just the word alone strikes a sense of "ahh" in our day. Imagine if all the challenges, hurdles, or frustrations today could be walked by or passes through. No worries or bothers. They can!! Peace. It was a gift from He who created all things. Are you going to use what Christ Himself gave you just before He left? Use it, live it, & remember the One who provided it.

Here is your stone!! "Live in harmony with one another. Do not be proud, but be willing to associate with people of low position. Do not be conceited.". (Romans 12:16 NIV). No matter how good we may think we are, we still fall short. Share the truth with everyone.

We've heard it and read it, so??

Here is your stone!! "Whatever you do, work at it with all your heart, as working for the Lord, not for human masters," (Colossians 3:23 NIV). Many have heard and read this verse hundreds of times. As I read it today, I really ask myself, Are you? Everything? Or just certain things? The stuff others see or everything? Commit to it today.

R U?

Here is your stone!! "A new command I give you: Love one another. As I have loved you, so you must love one another. By this everyone will know that you are my disciples, if you love one another." (John 13:34, 35 NIV). Love one another is an action. R U?

IWHW

Here is your stone!! "If we confess our sins, he is faithful and just and will forgive us our sins and purify us from all unrighteousness." (1 John 1:9 NIV). IWHW. If we, He will! All through the scripture we see this in place, If we take a step, He will be there. Faith is taking those steps. Are we waiting to be pulled, pushed, or will we just fall? Why wait? Take steps today and see the relationship flourish!!!

Storms or witnesses?

Here is your stone!! "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a great cloud of witnesses, let us throw off everything that hinders and the sin that so easily entangles. And let us run with perseverance the race marked out for us," (Hebrews 12:1 NIV). Your association impacts your destination! Are you surrounded by great clouds of witnesses or storms?

Here is your stone!! "For the Spirit God gave us does not make us timid, but gives us power, love and self-discipline." (2 Timothy 1:7 NIV). Triple gift. POWER, LOVE, and SELF-DISCIPLINE. Live these out today and begin to really see God in ACTION. NO FEAR!!

You can't hide Fire!!

Here is your stone!! ""Is not my word like fire," declares the Lord, "and like a hammer that breaks a rock in pieces!". (Jeremiah 23:29 NIV). His word is like Fire. If we aren't spreading it, are we hiding it. Truth is that if you don't give fire oxygen, it goes away. Are we giving breath to the fire or is our fire burning out. Be alive and in Fire!! Spread the WORD!!!

Two Proclaim!

Here is your stone!! "The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to proclaim good news to the poor. He has sent me to proclaim freedom for the prisoners and recovery of sight for the blind, to set the oppressed free, to proclaim the year of the Lord's favor." (Luke 4:18-19 NIV) Two things to Proclaim - Freedom and Favor!! Proclaim It and Live In It!!!

Get off that mountain.

Here is your stone!! "The Lord our God said to us at Horeb, "You have stayed long enough at this mountain." (Deuteronomy 1:6 NIV). We all have one, some of have MANY. Those mountains that prevent us from the next level. How long are we going to sit here and wait. We have stayed here long enough. Let's GO. Are we just going to let a fear or failure hamstring us? Is pride your mountain? Is it you trying to make someone else proud or to accomplish something for the way it looks? Why?? We have got to seek what God is calling us to and GO!! Get off that mountain and make the journey.

God's plan?

Here is your stone!! "he predestined us for adoption to sonship through Jesus Christ, in accordance with his pleasure and will—" (Ephesians 1:5 NIV). What is God's plan? It starts with His passion and plan for us to be his children. Next to love us as one of His children. Family, a Strong family. What a awesome realization of God's desire for us.

What's in your....

Here is your stone!! "I am not saying this because I am in need, for I have learned to be content whatever the circumstances." (Philippians 4:11 NIV). Man I could write pages on this one. I have heard this verse used by others as an excuse for laziness throughout my journey. It's about being grateful for what we have and where we are in life. Not to quit! We should desire growth and improvements in our lives, but not expect them to be handed to us. God is a God of action, growth, movement, and passion. Nothing just stops. Even when we die physically the bible shares we are still doing something. Isn't it interesting that the word Content, depending on how it's used can completely change. It's about your gratefulness of where you are or it's about what is inside of you. Whether you are content, is directly relational to your contents. What's inside you today that is driving you while still allowing you to be grateful?

Glorifying not Equalizing

Here is your stone!! "Keep your lives free from the love of money and be content with what you have, because God has said, "Never will I leave you;
never will I forsake you." (Hebrews 13:5 NIV). Desiring God's blessings must be about glorifying God, not equalizing with others.

Not Fail-your.

Here is your stone!! "Instead of your shame you will receive a double portion, and instead of disgrace
you will rejoice in your inheritance.
And so you will inherit a double portion in your land, and everlasting joy will be yours." (Isaiah 61:7 NIV). Instead of your shame!!! There is great blessings even after failures. Know that failure is not spelled "fail your". Because of the shed blood of Jesus, we don't own the failings we grow from them!! Can somebody preach that message today?!

Rooted

Here is your stone!! "rooted and built up in him, strengthened in the faith as you were taught, and overflowing with thankfulness." (Colossians 2:7 NIV). Are we rooted? Roots are not only a source of life, but are also an anchor. If we are rooted in Christ, our overflowing thankfulness should be just part of our day. The question is are you root bound? Need to be repotted? Today I pray that we seek the source and begin the overflow and growth again!!

Forgive

Here is your stone!! "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." (Mark 11:25 NIV). Are there barricades on your journey? You can tear them down in order to move beyond. Forgive.

Not a check up!

Here is your stone!! "Don't you know that you yourselves are God's temple and that God's Spirit dwells in your midst?" (1 Corinthians 3:16 NIV). Why do we so often treat God like we are just stopping in for a check up when things have been rough. The scripture tells us we don't have to, He dwells!! He is with us all the time. God is there to help prepare and partner not to be a reactor and responder. Take the journey WITH Him. Is it time to hand over who is really leading?

Power to Do!!

Here is your stone!! "But you will receive power when the Holy Spirit comes on you; and you will be my witnesses in Jerusalem, and in all Judea and Samaria, and to the ends of the earth." (Acts 1:8 NIV). Ever see others sharing the gospel or being openly passionate about their walk with Jesus and say to yourself, "that's just not me, or I could never do that."? Well once we have the Holy Spirit, we have the POWER!! You will never know the strength you have unless you physically do something. Are you willing to take Action? Faith!!! Living Faith!!!

The Our Power!!

Here is your stone!! "For no word from God will ever fail." (Luke 1:37 NIV). We all have those verses that we love to read. Sometimes referred to as our "life verses". Verses we may go to when times are tough, but even at times we may still question. No doubts needed!! Understanding the truth of God's word is the power He has given us over situations we may face. His truth is our power!!

Self Confidence?

Here is your stone!! "But blessed is the one who trusts in the Lord,
whose confidence is in him." (Jeremiah 17:7 NIV). "Whose confidence is in him.". How often have we been told to have "self confidence"? As a Christ follower isn't it true that all that we have to be confident about is our faith and trust in Him? That all that we have "accomplished" is by His design? We are fallen people. Trust in Him and instead of the self confidence, let's have the Son Confidence!!

Lions and Bears! Thank You Lord!

Here is your stone!! "The Lord who rescued me from the paw of the lion and the paw of the bear will rescue me from the hand of this Philistine."....
(1 Samuel 17:37 NIV). Every lion and bear that God has gotten us through in our past has prepared us for the Goliath ahead. No obstacle is too great for God. Every obstacle though is a time of faith and learning. Whatever you are facing today, God has prepared you. Seek Him!!

Taste and See

Here is your stone!! "Taste and see that the Lord is good; blessed is the one who takes refuge in him." (Psalm 34:8 NIV). Too often we fail to completely see and taste the goodness. Many take refuge in times of trouble, and we still get a taste. Imagine of we took refuge in Him continually. Protection and Celebration. Give God glory at all times.... Then imagine the feast and show!!

Look around!

Here is your stone!! "Circumcise your hearts, therefore, and do not be stiff-necked any longer." (Deuteronomy 10:16 NIV). "Do not be stiff necked any longer.". Wow!! Maybe saying we need to look around a little? Take a little more notice of what is happening in the world? Are we just focused on our own little journey? If we begin to see what is happening, are we willing to be obedient and bold? Know God's truth, be obedient to His voice, and live it out!!

Give.

Here is your stone!! "In everything I did, I showed you that by this kind of hard work we must help the weak, remembering the words the Lord Jesus himself said: 'It is more blessed to give than to receive.'" (Acts 20:35 NIV). We all feel like there are things we need. Be encouraged today and lets begin to give those items we may feel we need to others today. See how God will bless you in so many ways.

Respond to Opportunity

Here is your stone!! "Be very careful, then, how you live—not as unwise but as wise, making the most of every opportunity, because the days are evil." (Ephesians 5:15, 16 NIV). We have no choice. He provides us great opportunities but again we are require to act!! Opportunities when given action and obedience become Accomplishments.

Leadership from Learner Ship

Here is your stone!! "The Lord will make you the head, not the tail. If you pay attention to the commands of the Lord your God that I give you this day and carefully follow them, you will always be at the top, never at the bottom." (Deuteronomy 28:13 NIV). The word of God is so simple and parental. It is leadership. Too often we say, I want to grow or I want to be a better leader. It is simple....PAY ATTENTION and Carefully Follow. God is providing you His word and often council from around you. We say we seek but yet we create our own findings. Want to grow in leadership? Grow first in learnership.

Living Life

Here is your stone!! "This day I call the heavens and the earth as witnesses against you that I have set before you life and death, blessings and curses. NOW CHOOSE LIFE so that you and your children may live" (Deuteronomy 30:19 NIV). One thing is for sure, if you are reading this message, YOU ARE ALIVE, but that doesn't mean you have chosen LIFE. Life is a gift from God, we can choose to take it or not. Eternal life doesn't start when you physically die, it starts TODAY!! It won't be perfect, easy, or all happy go lucky, at least not yet. It is yours to choose. Go ahead, what's your pick? Me? I choose Life Lived Out!

Future Present and The Difference Maker

Here is your stone!! "Be joyful in hope, patient in affliction, faithful in prayer." (Romans 12:12 NIV). Joyful, Patient, and Faithful. Are these three word used by others to describe us? No matter how you slice this, it is total reliance on God. He has the map of your life. Are you committed to letting Him lead? Start today to show Joy, Patience, and Solid Faith.

On the other side!!

Here is your stone!! "The Lord has done it this very day; let us rejoice today and be glad. Lord, save us!
Lord, grant us success!" (Psalm 118:24, 25 NIV). Today!! Claim it and celebrate it!! There is a Challenge, Struggle, or Decision we face today. We must see that what lays before us is there by the will of God. We can seek Him and claim it!! He is there. Let us celebrate whatever it is, that in the other side of that decision will be success!!

Stones or Jones

Here is your stone!! "Therefore, whenever we have the opportunity, we should do good to everyone—especially to those in the family of faith." (Galatians 6:10 NLT). In the last few weeks I have spent time in areas with limited cell service. During that time I began to wonder and ask if I am spending too much time on creating "The Stones" and not enough on Jones. I realize that from the word God has given me today, that both needs to happen. I want to challenge all of you on this text to download either the you version bible, Brand New Church App, or something for you to be able to read God's word daily. In fact, I'd love to hear what He is speaking into your life. Praise God that we live in a country that we are able to worship. Thank God that He has given us His word to have daily. Pour into others today and allow God to use your life to bless and lead others.

Keep in step!!

Here is your stone!! "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh. Since we live by the Spirit, let us keep in step with the Spirit." (Galatians 5:16, 25 NIV). Walk by and keep in step! We don't need to try and get ahead of God, but to understand where we are and to know we can look right beside us for guidance. Too often we desire to plan out the journey, know all the stops, and where we will be at all points. Truth is that as we plan, we can easily be pulled in the wrong direction. Keep in step and enjoy that He is right beside us!

Exit Strategy.

Here is your stone!! "The temptations in your life are no different from what others experience. And God is faithful. He will not allow the temptation to be more than you can stand. When you are tempted, he will show you a way out so that you can endure." (1 Corinthians 10:13 NLT). How often have we felt we were in a spot, made the wrong choice and regretted it later? It's not because there wasn't a way out, just not a "wait out". Believe!!

See the steps of Vision!

Here is your stone!! "Where there is no revelation, people cast off restraint;
but blessed is the one who heeds wisdom's instruction." (Proverbs 29:18 NIV). God thank You for this word today!! We have to dream, have a vision and allow it to be one that brings glory to Him. When we fail to look and see the things that God is doing in our lives, we fail truly grow and go. Have a dream or vision? Allow God to grow it with you, in His time, but continue to stop and see how He is growing you today!! What is He showing you right now when you think He is not doing anything at all. Make sure you look at every step of the way.

Action Drives Direction.

Here is your stone!! "Whether you turn to the right or to the left, your ears will hear a voice behind you, saying, "This is the way; walk in it."" (Isaiah 30:21). Action drives direction. Do we find ourselves wondering about waiting to hear from God on what our next step will be? Is our walk suppose to be a runaway chariot with God pulling us where He wants us? No how would that tie back to obedience? Christ walks with us! When we move, He directs! Stop waiting and start moving!

Making some change.

Here is your stone!! "But because of his great love for us, God, who is rich in mercy," (Ephesians 2:4 NIV). Great wealth!! Rich in Mercy!! Imagine if more of us were in search of the wealth of mercy and not wealth of the world. Has your wealth made that type of change? Live it out. This isn't something we can look at others to do, it's a personal wealth growth!

Most High Gear!

Here is your stone!! "For if, while we were God's enemies, we were reconciled to him through the death of his Son, how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!" (Romans 5:10 NIV). What a powerful and humbling experience it is to grasp that Jesus shed His blood and died for us, and to recognize that daily, but there is more: ".. how much more, having been reconciled, shall we be saved through his life!". Remember that the message of Christ did not end at the cross, it kicked into the Most High Gear!! God calls us to Live out our faith, not sit back and relax. Live It Out!!!

Don't Lord it Lead it!!'

Here is your stone!! "Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example.". (1 Peter 5:3 NLT). How often have we said we are trusting God for big things? Big change, Big opportunity, and Big Vision! Truth is that He has already started that, He placed you where you are today! Your flock may be in different places, but YOU are the Leader!! Go and make it happen!! Be the LEADER!!!

Initiation - Invitation

Here is your stone!! "This is love: not that we loved God, but that he loved us and sent his Son as an atoning sacrifice for our sins." (1 John 4:10 NIV). Initiation. God pursues that relationship with us. We can't forget that. The God of all things initiates a relationship with a failing group of people. Think about that, He sent Jesus for you and I. Knowing that many would still not follow, but to give us an option. Are there people in your life that your relationship has been lost? Are you waiting on them? Or following the example that He has given? Your initiation may equate to His invitation!

Give in Give UP

Here is your stone!! "I have come to call not those who think they are righteous, but those who know they are sinners and need to repent.” (Luke 5:32 NLT). It begins with our realization of our failures and understanding that we are not in control or perfect. When we finally give in, then we finally give UP. Allow Christ to step in. Give Him the control. As a father I know that I am nothing without Christ. I also know that every decision can scar generations to come. We must Lead as Dad's to change generations ahead. This Father's Day, give your children (no matter what age) a generational boost! Happy Father's Day.

Supply and Command

Here is your stone!! "But remember the Lord your God, for it is he who gives you the ability to produce wealth, and so confirms his covenant, which he swore to your ancestors, as it is today." (Deuteronomy 8:18 NIV). Simply put, it ain't about you. There is no TRUE greatness that was not determined by God! Producing wealth, does not mean money, it could be a by product, but not a focus. I praise God for the amazing wealth He has provided me. I have an amazing Godly wife who I am crazy about and 4 children who bring a special joy into my life! On top of that, I serve a King that loves me even at my weakest times and when I mess up. On a scale of 1 - 100 I may be a 70, thank You Jesus for making the other 30 and giving me eternal life!! Are you remembering your wealth? Don't wait for the value to be determined by its lack of availability. God supplies us what we need and commands us to Love. Let your life be about His Supply and Command.

Praise you in the storms

Here is your stone!! "...Shall we accept good from God, and not trouble?...."(Job 2:10 NIV). Knives, spears, and blades are not sharpened without a rough edge to rub against it. Why is it that we Praise in the good and question in the Storm? Without the challenges we can't grow. I saw a note this morning that said "A skilled mariner is not created through calm waters.". How often have we told our kids, "Get back up and keep trying!". Are we living that same way? Are we expecting life to just be a bit easier? Can you praise God during the storms? Live this out!!

Picked

Here is your stone!! "For we know, brothers and sisters loved by God, that he has chosen you," (1 Thessalonians 1:4 NIV). Wonder how we should know that we are ready to serve? Not only are we on the greatest team, but the most powerful chose us. God has chosen you!! How will we show our gratitude and passion today?? Live out it out and share the excitement and passion!!!

What if everybody did that?

Here is your stone!! "And so you became a model to all the believers in Macedonia and Achaia." (1 Thessalonians 1:7 NIV). Several years ago, we read our children a book "What if Everybody did that?". The book explains the result of things like not picking up after yourself, or not taking care of yourself, etc., as a way to show importance of personal responsibility and consequences. As I read this scripture I began thinking the same. What if I was the model of a Christ centered server, husband, and father? Would my life example be the one I would say is model? How would it look? What about you as the model? Are we living as examples or samples?

Building Blocks

Here is your stone!! "For this very reason, make every effort to add to your faith goodness; and to goodness, knowledge; and to knowledge, self-control; and to self-control, perseverance; and to perseverance, godliness; and to godliness, mutual affection; and to mutual affection, love." (2 Peter 1:5-7 NIV). God has provided building blocks for us to work with daily. He knows that when we accept His Son into our lives, we will still have growth. We may even find ourselves beginning over and over. It's not called our walk for nothing, it's about continual growth until we reach His kingdom. Begin taking steps today.

Whatcha Got?

Here is your stone!! "Live such good lives among the pagans that, though they accuse you of doing wrong, they may see your good deeds and glorify God on the day he visits us." (1 Peter 2:12 NIV). Is your life one that others watch and desire? Is there a difference in your kids? Your marriage? Your attitude? Your speech? The lost are always seeking the answer, some may be more assertive, based on where they are in God's plan. Will others see you this week and tell you have the Truth, the Answer, & the Way? Live it out.

Head or Heart

Here is your stone!! "Now some teachers of the law were sitting there, thinking to themselves," (Mark 2:6 NIV). I know, odd verse to pick out. Challenge is that it follows the story of the 4 men tearing a hole in the roof in order to get their friend to Jesus. These guys had head knowledge,"thinking to themselves", they could share verses all day. Did it matter? We can all sit back and learn and think for ourselves, but I want to be one of the four. ACTION!! GO and do something!!! We must have an understanding of God's word and grow in it daily. But in the end no one is going to find Jesus just because WE have knowledge, we have got to lead somebody. Know that the lost person you see, has probably heard the scriptures before, but have never seen it lived out. Are you wanting to just learn it or live it?

Fully Stocked

Here is your stone!! "Come, all you who are thirsty, come to the waters;
and you who have no money, come, buy and eat! Come, buy wine and milk

Jesus gives us a great deal of specifics, teaches us through His word, His walk, and Our relationship. What are we doing with this info? Are we ready to do this today? All day - His Way!! Live it out!!!

Here is your stone!! "And pray in the Spirit on all occasions with all kinds of prayers and requests. With this in mind, be alert and always keep on praying for all the Lord's people." (Ephesians 6:18 NIV). It is about 4D dedication, diversity, determination and delivery. We have to be READY. He hears and delivers and we must believe. Who and what are you praying for today?

Problem solved.

Here is your stone!! "They all ate and were satisfied," (Mark 6:42 NIV). I challenge you to read the verses that are just before these, Jesus feeds 5000 with bread and fish. How did He approach it? He assesses the situation, delegates to gain insight, separates the problem into smaller pieces, sees what He has to work with, and He gives thanks. I read that this morning and my first thought is how did that food last. It's not about the food. It was how Jesus, in one sitting changes the perspectives of what 5000 people thought they needed to be content. Hasn't He performed the same with with us? The world can not provide what we need. He can!!

Represent

Here is your stone!! "We are therefore Christ's ambassadors, as though God were making his appeal through us. We implore you on Christ's behalf: Be reconciled to God." (2 Corinthians 5:20 NIV). Ambassadors? Do we really get this? Dictionary.com defines ambassador as: 1. A diplomatic official of the highest rank, sent by one sovereign or state to another as its resident representative. We are of high ranking and all sent to our world to "Represent". Are we? Do we? It's not about doing nothing. This is expected. It is a privilege and an honor!! Represent. Live it out!!

Solid walls

Here is your stone!! "Like a city whose walls are broken through is a person who lacks self-control.". (Proverbs 25:28 NIV). Self control!! As you enter this day, how solid will your walls be? Through open walls, evil enters in. Keep those walls solid and standing. He has a greater focus for us today!!

Favor of the Day

Here is your stone!! "and that the time of the LORD’s favor has come.” (Luke 4:19 NLT). I'm believing His favor is happening today!! Are you choosing to believe as well? There is someone who is dealing with some heavy things today that needs to hear this. Be willing to share it and believe in faith that it is happening. Believe it, share it, and live today with the faith that this message was sent to you for a reason!!

Grace

Here is your stone!! "God saved you by his grace when you believed. And you can’t take credit for this; it is a gift from God." (Ephesians 2:8 NLT). No matter how you view it, if we can be forgiven and given eternal life, grace and forgiveness are a big deal. How will you show that same grace and forgiveness today?

Still waiting?

Here is your stone!! "But Peter said, “I don’t have any silver or gold for you. But I’ll give you what I have. In the name of Jesus Christ the Nazarene, get up and walk!”". (Acts 3:6 NLT). Get up and walk! This lame man had been lame for over 40 years (Acts 4:22). Imagine the first thought that he had when he heard that statement. They helped him up. He was healed. Faith in ACTION. As long as we sit at the gate waiting we will never accomplish anything. We have to GET UP AND WALK? Is it today? Live it out.

Un ashamed

Here is your stone!! "If anyone is ashamed of me and my message in these adulterous and sinful days, the Son of Man will be ashamed of that person when he returns in the glory of his Father with the holy angels.” (Mark 8:38 NLT). Ashamed - "a fear of disapproval". In our world, being a Christ follower seems to be shunned more than anytime except for the beginning when He hung on a cross for us. Are we not sharing because of a fear of being cast out? Or looking different? If so, does that seem nearly as difficult as being hung on a cross? He died for us so that we may libe for Him. We have to be strong in the truth and in sharing it. He gave it all. Can you live Unashamed?

Reconciled.

Here is your stone!! "This includes you who were once far away from God. You were his enemies, separated from him by your evil thoughts and actions."(Colossians 1:21 NLT). This verse is reminding us that the blood of Jesus was used to reconcile us (you and me) with God. No hard feelings. He has and will forgive us for our differences. He desires the relationship with YOU and I. Whatever it is that we are holding on to, needs to be set free. Love Him. Live for Him. Remember Him.

Position and Solution

Here is your stone!! "He is before all things, and in him all things hold together." (Colossians 1:17 NIV). Live this one out!! Imagine if everyone could grab this verse. Waking up and saying that Christ comes before ALL things and no matter what my day has in store for me, in Christ all things hold together. Yes!!! If this isn't a life verse for someone!!! I love God's truth and to think that He took the time to have it written down for us!! Say this one and Live this one out!!

Give in to be built up.

Here is your stone!! "Yet you, Lord, are our Father. We are the clay, you are the potter; we are all the work of your hand." (Isaiah 64:8 NIV). I love this verse. I also realize that after clay has been placed under heat, it begins to harden and is no longer pliable. God allows us the opportunity as clay to be softened again, at which point, if we submit to Him, give Him control, the end result is a unique piece of art. It begins with giving in to Him. Are you deniable or pliable? Allow God to show you!! Live this out!!

Listen Up

Here is your stone!! "Whoever has ears, let them hear what the Spirit says to the churches." (Revelation 3:22 NIV)
We must be ready to listen. God is speaking to the church. It is His desire for great things to occur. We can not obey if we do not listen. Listen Up!!

Climbing vs Sliding

Here is your stone!! ""Return, faithless people; I will cure you of backsliding...,,,". (Jeremiah 3:22 ). It's not just about those who drifted off the path once. God is aware of how easy of a cycle we can find ourselves on with a continual falling back. Going back to our old ways. Think about the image of back sliding, continual movement to where you started and chances are we get there quicker than we think since we can't see out of the back of our heads. We have to fight forward and climb up. It is a tougher task at times but a amazing place to arrive.

One solution

Here is your stone!! "There is salvation in no one else! God has given no other name under heaven by which we must be saved.” (Acts 4:12 NLT). We have one place to look for our direction, One Lord to serve, and One God to guide. Yet daily we struggle with what to do, where to find our strength, and how it will all work out. One answer rings in my head. "I Am..". Let Jesus be it All today. Live out the truth!!!

So that we.

Here is your stone!! "who comforts us in all our troubles, SO THAT WE can comfort those in any trouble with the comfort we ourselves receive from God." (2 Corinthians 1:4 NIV). There is always a reason. If those around you read this verse for the first time, would you be a person they thought of as a person who comforted them? He comforts us, not just because we need it; He also comforts us "So that we" will do the same. Look around and live this out!!

There is Hope.

Here is your stone!! "Not only so, but we also glory in our sufferings, because we know that suffering produces perseverance; perseverance, character; and character, hope.". (Romans 5:3,4 NIV). No matter where you are in your walk, there is always steps to be taken. There will be stumbles, drifts, and even times that we feel we are taking steps back. Truth is that we also know, that our strength is in Christ who gives us Hope. Persevere from where you are today. Right now, be prepared to move forward on His path. Live it out!!

Inside

Here is your stone!! "for it is God who works in you to will and to act in order to fulfill his good purpose." (Philippians 2:13 NIV). As followers, God IS at work in each of us. What an amazing experience and thought. Why then do we fight it so often, thinking we need to control a situation, or that if I go the wrong direction, maybe God won't know? We have got to allow His work to happen, no matter how uncomfortable or frightening that may be. I am praying for all who read this, and ask that you do the same for me. Let us all live it out one day at a time.

Inheritance

Here is your stone!! "But the love of the LORD remains forever with those who fear him. His salvation extends to the children’s children". (Psalm 103:17 NLT). Our daily walk with God is bigger than we recognize. It is about our growth, but is about lives to come. What are you wanting to leave one day for your grandchildren? Loads of money or eternal life. Seems simple. Love the children, Love the Father, Live out His word.

Daily Walk

Here is your stone!! "We are made right with God by placing our faith in Jesus Christ. And this is true for everyone who believes, no matter who we are." (Romans 3:22 NLT). It's not accomplished through marking off a list or by performing certain jobs or duties. It's not only a step or leap of faith, it is a continual walk of faith. No matter who we are, the relationship is there for us. Are you ready to start walking?

Foundation

Here is your stone!! "For Jesus is the one referred to in the Scriptures, where it says, ‘The stone that you builders rejected has now become the cornerstone.’ "(Acts 4:11 NLT). Cornerstone is defined as the stone that is laid to either bring two walls together. It is also defined as a starting point for a monument to be built. He is where the plan gets lined up by joining our wall with God's wall. Through Him, a great work is done by God in our lives. The point that we must see is that He is the foundation of our life. Are you ready to allow God to begin?! Live it out!!

Commit my.....

Here is your stone!! "Jesus called out with a loud voice, "Father, into your hands I commit my spirit." When he had said this, he breathed his last."(Luke 23:46 NIV). I commit. Two very powerful words that we could and should use daily in our walk. What is it the you will commit today? What will you fully commit to God? Be specific! Speak it out and live it out!

Through God's Eyes.

Here is your stone!! "But I tell you, love your enemies and pray for those who persecute you," (Matthew 5:44 NIV). We read this as adults and it is often hard to imagine having enemies. But what about those who attack our country or even someone who maybe doesn't agree with the choices in your life. The key is to not always look for God to make them your friend, but for them to become a friend of Jesus. Not to see things exactly the way you do, but the way God does. Not that they see you as someone different, but that you see them as God does. Live out God's truth, love others, praise Him!!

Who you hangin with?

Here is your stone!! "Do not be misled: "Bad company corrupts good character."" (1 Corinthians 15:33 NIV). Now this will preach. We have so much control over this area in our lives and the lives of our family. Simply put, who are you hanging around? Want to improve your character - make sure your surroundings reflect your desires. Worried about the character of your children - change their surroundings. It is not just a "they'll grow out of it" or "I don't want to try and control them, they will rebel.". Really? God has given you a responsibility as a parent and a follower. Live it out!!

Lay it down

Here is your stone!! "This is how we know what love is: Jesus Christ laid down his life for us. And we ought to lay down our lives for our brothers and sisters." (1 John 3:16 NIV). This verse was the first one I sent as a txt, that evolved into the beginning of the stones. God showing me that I need to put my life as a lower priority and that to share my life and my testimony. I am challenged daily to remember this teaching. How can I lay my life down daily? How will you? Is it your story to hide or share. How will others know how He is working in your life? Live it, share it, and lay it down.

Line it up.

Here is your stone!! "But many who are first will be last, and many who are last will be first." (Matthew 19:30 NIV). This doesn't get much clearer. We have to move ourselves from self centered to God centered. When we put ourselves last, this Honors God. Time to line up the day. WHO is going to be your priority today? Live it out.

Paint by Numbers

Here is your stone!! "For no one can ever be made right with God by doing what the law commands. The law simply shows us how sinful we are." (Romans 3:20 NLT). Our relationship is developed with God the more we have an "All In" mindset. No major works of art are paint by number paintings. Let God turn us into His masterpiece by our desire for creating an ongoing relationship. Live it out!!

He is prepping you.

Here is your stone!! "For God is working in you, giving you the desire and the power to do what pleases Him." (Philippians 2:13 NLT). What is God preparing you for right now? Is it something that is outside of your norm? Is it an area of growth? Is it a challenge you need to overcome? If i's nothing, then the question becomes, "Are you listening?". God IS working within you. That is the TRUTH!! Seek Him and live it today.

Listen Softly

Here is your stone!! "Remember what it says: “Today when you hear his voice, don’t harden your hearts
as Israel did when they rebelled.”" (Hebrews 3:15 NLT). Our hearts harden and our ears close. Why is it we cry out to God for help, answers, and strength, but so often when He responds, if it doesn't match with our plans, we shut our ears and heart down? We must listen and respond in obedience. It is simple; God is the answer while we are always in Question. Live it out!!

Watch Your Step!

Here is your stone!! "for the LORD is your security. He will keep your foot from being caught in a trap.". (Proverbs 3:26 NLT). Haven't we all been told, especially when we were borderline on our actions, that we better "Watch your step!". That statement is basically saying you are getting close to getting into trouble. Isn't it awesome knowing that God watches our steps. He knows the steps to come and the paths we have taken. We have to listen, obey, and give thanks. Who is guiding your steps today? Live it out.

Give it and Live it.

Here is your stone!! "But with you there is forgiveness, so that we can, with reverence, serve you.". (Psalm 130:4 NIV). Seek God, watch where He is working, join Him and know that no matter what, He is all about forgiveness. That is God. He loves us enough to forgive us!! Do we really grasp that truth? What are we waiting on? Give it and Live It!!

Time and Faith.

Here is your stone!! "I tell you, among those born of women there is no one greater than John; yet the one who is least in the kingdom of God is greater than he." (Luke 7:28 NIV). Get ready. Think about this, Jesus is talking about John the Baptist. How long had John's ministry been going on? Answer- about 6 months. Significant? YES. Now, the least will do greater. Do you feel capable or positioned to do great works? No? Well then Get Ready and Hold On. Give your life and watch

Here is your stone!! "Better to be patient than powerful; better to have self-control than to conquer a city". (Proverbs 16:32 NLT). God wants to do GREAT things in our lives and it will be on His timing. Ever notice how we use PS in a note, a ending thought that often encapsulates the entire letter, or closes on an important detail. Our PS should be Patience and Self-control. Live this out starting today!!

Waiting for the Master!!

Here is your stone!! "Whoever serves me must follow me; and where I am, my servant also will be. My Father will honor the one who serves me." (John 12:26 NIV). This was in my bible study today. Just before it, they had a statement. So often we have heard someone say "don't just stand there, do something!". Yet I think God is saying, "Don't just do something, stand there and wait for me!". Are we doing our work or waiting for God's work. He is alive and active all around us. Live it out!!

Directionally Challenged?

Here is your stone!! "Going a little farther, he fell with his face to the ground and prayed, "My Father, if it is possible, may this cup be taken from me. Yet not as I will, but as you will."". (Matthew 26:39 NIV). Are you at or are you approaching a cross road in your life. A challenge of your desires vs God's plan? A question of where does this lead me? Directionally Challenged? We have to lay it at the feet of Jesus and allow God's direction to be made clear. Clarity followed by obedience brings glory to His Kingdom. Lay it down and live it out!!

Simple and true.

Here is your stone!! "Above all, my brothers and sisters, do not swear—not by heaven or by earth or by anything else. All you need to say is a simple "Yes" or "No." Otherwise you will be condemned." (James 5:12 NIV). The two answer options of Yes and No are the beginnings of truth or lies. We should be able to respond, and keep moving. It is not our job to judge the reply, but rather encourage and or support the responder. Today, let your Yes and No be difference maker. Live this out!!

He provides we decide.

Here is your stone!! "Make the most of every opportunity in these evil days." (Ephesians 5:16 NLT). God provides and we are the ones who decide. Opportunities are those brief moments when have been given a choice. A choice to bring Him Glory!! How many will we let slip by? Capture everyone of them today!! Today bring Him Glory!!

Whose View

Here is your stone!! "So we have stopped evaluating others from a human point of view. At one time we thought of Christ merely from a human point of view. How differently we know him now! (2 Corinthians 5:16 NLT). Wonder what we would have thought of Jesus if we knew Him from the beginning? So often we see others and begin to determine how they will "Turn Out" based on our present knowledge. Can we spend more time praying and investing in them? Our views must change from the me and we perspective to the He perspective. Let's begin now to Live it out!!

Bleeding to Pleading for You!!

Here is your stone!! "Who then will condemn us? No one—for Christ Jesus died for us and was raised to life for us, and he is sitting in the place of honor at God’s right hand, pleading for us." (Romans 8:34 NLT). His work for us continues. He died on a tree for you and me and spends time now, still pleading for us. His work was not ending at the cross, it continues for us still today.

Life with HD!

Here is your stone!! "I take joy in doing your will, my God,
for your instructions are written on my heart.” (Psalm 40:8 NLT). Everyday we are faced with choices in how we go and grow. His word is our map and we must allow it not only to guide our steps. It's not hard decisions, it's Heart Decisions. Live in Heart Decisions!!! Live in HD!!

Make action happen.

Here is your stone!! "Before daybreak the next morning, Jesus got up and went out to an isolated place to pray." (Mark 1:35 NLT). We all know that God is available to us and that we can pray and know he hears our prayer. God's word is specific though. It doesn't just say that Jesus prayed or met with God. He "got up and went". Too many times we feel like, I'll just pray. No no no. We have got to move!! We want to get closer to God, well get up and go meet with Him. I have heard it and said it a number of times, look at the first two letters in God. GO!! Make action happen!!! LIVE IT OUT!!!!!

Are you ready to cross over?

Here is your stone!! "For the LORD your God dried up the river right before your eyes, and he kept it dry until you were all across, just as he did at the Red Sea when he dried it up until we had all crossed over." (Joshua 4:23 NLT). Two points. Path provided and obedience to cross over! God provides the way to do His work, and it is often right before us. Do you wonder if Joshua looked at that and thought, " Hold on, that can't be? How easy is that to cross?". Do you think he may have thought of it as a trap? All through this verse he listened and obeyed. In the end, marked the area so that those to come would see God's Glory! God will provide a way, will you take it? Will you give Him the praise? Live it out!!

Raise it up!

Here is your stone!! "In every place of worship, I want men to pray with holy hands lifted up to God, free from anger and controversy." (1 Timothy 2:8 NLT). I have to say that this is an area that I completely understand. Men, we as a group fail here. The majority of families that attend church, it is often without the dad. If they are there, their presence is limited. Can we as men stop the whole image of what we think about worship? You want to lead your family, others and live in God's word. Raise it up. Lift up those hands today in worship and experience the freedom! Live this verse out, don't follow "them in the church", but honor "He who is our reason for the church".

Courageous for change.....

Here is your stone!! "But as for you, be strong and courageous, for your work will be rewarded.” (2 Chronicles 15:7 NLT). Imagine being a leader in a time when many around you focused on anything But God. You are told to be strong in your faith and lead. God would reward you. That is the context of this verse and the reality of today. Asa became bold and took steps to change his kingdom. Are you ready to do the same? Maybe it's your friends, family, work, or etc? Begin today. Boldness & courage for God!!!

Travel with D.O.T.

Here is your stone!! "In his kindness God called you to share in his eternal glory by means of Christ Jesus. So after you have suffered a little while, he will restore, support, and strengthen you, and he will place you on a firm foundation.". (1 Peter 5:10 NLT). The road may seem rough at times but the destination is eternal. All of us have experienced suffering to different degrees. Driving long distances we have the DOT (dept of transportation) to ensure we have a solid road to drive on. It will have rough spots on the travel, but the goal is a safe arrival at your destination. We must also DOT (Depend on Truth) and know that there will be no greater feeling then when we get Home. Travel on and live out truth!!

Heart application.

Here is your stone!! "turning your ear to wisdom and applying your heart to understanding—". (Proverbs 2:2 NIV). Wisdom is truth and truth is God's word. We can listen and read, but what we do is the deal. We have heard at some point in our lives that actions speak louder than words, but do we apply that saying? Fact is that our ears are receivers, but our heart is the believer. Live out with your heart what you hear in God's truth.

Quit Complaining!

Here is your stone!! ""Stop grumbling among yourselves," Jesus answered." (John 6:43 NIV). Why is it that so often, those who claim to have Christ, also seem to complain so much? Is it our desire for everyone to do the same as we or as He? Fact is, if we complain about them, then we are not acting as Him. What if? Instead of complaining, we gave God praise for what He has done for us. If we are going to claim to have Him, then let's live it out!!! I pray for all those who get this that we begin today, note that I said WE. Have an Awesome Day!!

It is under control, are we?

Here is your stone!! "Refrain from anger and turn from wrath; do not fret—it leads only to evil." (Psalm 37:8 NIV). Wrath and Fret. Imagine a deep anger or something that just really gets you going. Maybe it's a person or a situation. Your result is FRET. A gnawing away at you. It begins to tear you down. As a Christ follower, what does that express? Judgement, lack of grace, and lack of faith? How beautiful is that picture and what makes our lives any more inviting than most of those around us? We are on a journey that others are watching. Are we representing Jesus? We have to go away from the they and head to the Way. Live it out!!!!

Give Forgiveness.

Here is your stone!! "And when you stand praying, if you hold anything against anyone, forgive them, so that your Father in heaven may forgive you your sins." (Mark 11:25 NIV). Challenging for sure. How often are we praying for people because of our desire for THEM to change and to meet us where we are? As our Savior hung on the cross, He asked God to forgive. Is forgiveness top of our list? Make it happen. Live it out.

Not a syn.

Here is your stone!! "Don’t lord it over the people assigned to your care, but lead them by your own good example." (1 Peter 5:3 NLT). So often people associate leaders with bosses. Although many think they are synonymous, they are truly different. As a leader in any capacity, the scriptures provide you key points. Care for your people, be the example, and know that no matter what you may believe, those people were entrusted to you for this point in time. Do not let anything stop you from experiencing growth and influence. Your leadership can be used to change lives. Live it out!!

No worries but Not easy.

Here is your stone!! "Give all your worries and cares to God, for he cares about you. Stay alert! Watch out for your great enemy, the devil. He prowls around like a roaring lion, looking for someone to devour.". (1 Peter 5:7, 8 NLT). Give away your worries but be alert. I love that we, as Christ followers, WIN! Yes. We stay strong and prepared and God's truth surpasses all trials. But there will be challenges. Satan's only chance of success is where we have a weakness. Stay strong!! Be prepared!! Win!!! Live it out!!

Might gives Might.

Here is your stone!! "I have hidden your word in my heart, that I might not sin against you." (Psalm 119:11 NLT). Sin happens. We all face it and do it. As I read this today, realizing that the psalmist is level setting by using the word, "might". That word reminds us that because we fall, doesn't mean we failed. It means that we know our direction, through storing His word in our hearts, and that our failure is forgiven. Let the might in His word be the Might needed to carry out His word. Live it out!!!

Refocus...

Here is your stone!! "So you should earnestly desire the most helpful gifts.
But now let me show you a way of life that is best of all.". (1 Corinthians 12:31 NLT). Paul has listened to people question who has what when it comes to gifts and what that should mean. Can you imagine people comparing what others have and determining which is better? Sounds like our society doesn't it? Well, Paul does a great refocus. It's not about which gift it's about which path. We are all gifted, and we should desire that God exposes the one that we can bring Him the glory with. Today! Let's focus on the path and then the gifts to use on our journey. Start it today. Christ is risen today. Celebrate it through obedience. Happy Easter!!

Here is your stone!! "For we are God's handiwork, created in Christ Jesus to do good works, which God prepared in advance for us to do." (Ephesians 2:10 NIV). Created in Jesus to do good works! Yes!! Here is the deal, if you went to Walmart today and bought a tool or electronic item and you took it home, let's just say it was a DVD player. Once connected, no video but audio worked. Would you say it is doing what it was created to do? NO. It eventually would get sent back to the manufacturer for handling. That is the deal. If we are not doing the good works, maybe we need to be going back to our manufacturer - God! He will make the changes!! We are His handiwork. Let's do this!!! Live it out!!!!

Short term suffering.

Here is your stone!! "And the God of all grace, who called you to his eternal glory in Christ, after you have suffered a little while, will himself restore you and make you strong, firm and steadfast. (1 Peter 5:10 NIV). Whatever it is you are going through, there is an end. How amazing is it to know that the suffering will only be for a little while. Today, Good Friday, we remember the sacrifice of our savior. It is believed that Jesus hung on the cross for 3 -5 hours. God sent His Son to suffer for a little while as well. A suffering greater than we can imagine but a resurrection that gives us strength and celebration!!!! Are you able to suffer a little while?

Blind folded?

Here is your stone!! "So I say, walk by the Spirit, and you will not gratify the desires of the flesh." (Galatians 5:16 NIV). Most of the time walking is something we do without even thinking. No thinking of balance, remembering steps, or order of our steps. We just walk. Yet we throw in a small blind fold, and we are focused on every step, feeling, thought, noise, etc. We need to remember that we can be blinded by our sin. Our journey to go the right direction needs to be chosen carefully and steps need to be guided. Today, can we begin to allow God to guide us? He will hold us up, guide our steps, and be there to ensure that our path is built on truth and not the flesh. How will you walk today?

Checking your surroundings.

Here is your stone!! "Therefore, since we are surrounded by such a huge crowd of witnesses to the life of faith, let us strip off every weight that slows us down, especially the sin that so easily trips us up. And let us run with endurance the race God has set before us." (Hebrews 12:1 NLT). This verse hits on our need to get rid of the junk in our lives and to run with endurance the race God has given us. Isn't that it? Actually we may miss the opening part. The author is pointing out that we should be surrounded by believers. Once again, who you are hanging with can definitely position you to achieve the greatest works for Jesus. So check your surroundings and make sure they are there to allow you to run and not fall. Participating or Anticipating?

Here is your stone!! "Don’t you realize that in a race everyone runs, but only one person gets the prize? So run to win!" (1 Corinthians 9:24 NLT). Run to win!! What a simple and true statement. Do you enter into anything to fail? Do you go to work to purposely fail and potentially get fired? Do you get married planning for a divorce? Hopefully these are answered with a NO. So why then, as Christ followers do we enter into our everyday halfway approaching our faith? Are we just participating in life? Or are we anticipating great things to be accomplished? Live it out. Live it to win it!!

Where did He go?

Here is your stone!! "Thinking He was in their company, they traveled on for a day. Then they began looking for Him among their relatives and friends." (Luke 2:44 NIV). Doesn't it seem like this still happens? We drift away from Christ, wonder where He is and then attempt to find Him in friends or family. Jesus wants the ONE on ONE with you! He hasn't drifted away, He is in the place where He is supposed to be.

Do something!

Here is your stone!! "A lazy person is as bad as someone who destroys things." (Proverbs 18:9 NLT). Lazy, now that is a word we all know. The fact is that we have choices we must make with our time and a reliance on others is lazy. Laziness can fall into different degrees. As parents and leaders we hear the comments about why people don't do certain tasks. Unless its something against Gods word and there is gain from it, then learn it and do it. We can't get stick in "our" ways, we need to recognize that life is bigger than "me". It's really about - "HE"!!!!!

Breathing Faith.

Here is your stone!! "Now faith is confidence in what we hope for and assurance about what we do not see."(Hebrews 11:1 NIV). What an amazing gift we have been given. One that the deeper we grow it, the stronger it becomes. The greatest acceptance of it is full commitment. Those who say that faith is built only on the things they can see, fail to recognize the question then of what is faith since you can't see it? Or how can you walk outside and know you will breathe? Faith!! It is often misused, unused, and forgotten. We Must Live It Out!!! How deep is your faith?

Time, Trust, Traction

Here is your stone!! "Let the morning bring me word of your unfailing love,
for I have put my trust in you.
Show me the way I should go,
for to you I entrust my life." (Psalm 143:8 NIV). We have to not only trust God, but have time with Him. In order for us to hear from God, we need to get up and spend time with Him. His word Is amazing and will provide us what we need to Get Going the right direction. Time with Him, Trust in Him, GO where He takes/leads you!! Live it out!!

Bridge Building

Here is your stone!! "But he said to me, "My grace is sufficient for you, for my power is made perfect in weakness." Therefore I will boast all the more gladly about my weaknesses, so that Christ's power may rest on me.". (2 Corinthians 12:9 NIV). Our Pastor taught that in sharing your strengths we build walls, but in sharing your weaknesses you build bridges. As Christ followers, we are a long ways from being perfect, but yet we are on the path created by our Perfect Creator. This may make others believe "we have it all together", which we know we don't. Your bridge may be what Is needed to save a life for eternity. Are you ready to build a bridge today?

Here is your stone!! "Don’t worry about anything; instead, pray about everything. Tell God what you need, and thank Him for all He has done." (Philippians 4:6 NLT). Have you ever lifted weights and had that person there to "spot" you? There to encourage you to your goal and to give you confidence that you would not be left with all this weight on you if you fail. We need to know that God is there with us at all times. No worries. Be thankful for all that He has done. Let Him know what you need. Live today with the confidence that God has given and the wisdom gained from all He has done so far.

Here is your stone!! "My child, don’t lose sight of common sense and discernment. Hang on to them, "(Proverbs 3:21 NLT). Common sense and discernment, to me sounds like our common sense and gut instinct. These are not educated skills, but rather learned behaviors from your environment. Imagine our common sense and discernment if we surrounded ourselves in God's truth. Today let His sense be our steps.

Walk and Talk!

Here is your stone!! "Let us think of ways to motivate one another to acts of love and good works." (Hebrews 10:24 NLT). The root of motivate is motive, which means to give incentive and prompt to action. As we look to motivate those around us, one of
the greatest methods is our walk. Is the actions you take and the attitude you express, an example of what others would desire? Are you walking and talking about the passion in your current location and your eternal destination? Live this out, another's life could be depending on it!

Here is your stone!! There are always those times that you ask yourself, "What does it mean to be Good?". It seems like a question that we could over spiritualize. Yet, as always, God's perfect word helps us with these simple to remember steps. "He has shown you, O mortal, what is good.
And what does the Lord require of you? To act justly and to love mercy
and to walk humbly with your God." (Micah 6:8 NIV). So, now that we have three things to read and reference, will we make the effort to make this real. Will you Live It Out?!

Here is your stone!! "In their hearts humans plan their course, but the Lord establishes their steps." (Proverbs 16:9 NIV). The more I read this verse, the more powerful it gets. Let's just keep it real here. There are a ton of ways to get from Point A to Point B, truth is that on our own, we don't have a clue of the best steps to take. Give up the control and follow God's plan, it has a Lifetime + Eternity Guarantee!

Mountain Top!

Here is your stone!! "The Sovereign Lord is my strength; He makes my feet like the feet of a deer, He enables me to tread on the heights." (Habakkuk 3:19 NIV). Yes!!!! His strength alone will carry us beyond our world. Let our feet walk for God and we will see His Glory with a mountain top view!! Having no doubts about our steps that are planned out by Him.

Creative speaking or heartfelt feedback?

Here is your stone!! "Instead, speaking the truth in love, we will grow to become in every respect the mature body of him who is the head, that is, Christ." (Ephesians 4:15 NIV). I never wanted to get a completely outstanding on any evaluations in my jobs, simply because it would not be true. As a leader in any capacity (parent, teacher, pastor, friend, etc.) you have a responsibility to be honest. That honesty must be given by speaking the truth in Love. It's not an opinion or perspective. It's also not a hidden truth or a time when you speak untruths in order not to "hurt feelings". You can't sharpen an object on a soft surface. Honor those you lead, by speaking the heartfelt truth.

Here is your stone!! "He refreshes my soul. He guides me along the right paths for His name's sake." (Psalm 23:3 NIV). Ever have those days that you need some refreshing of the soul? How about those times you feel like you've started off the path? I love knowing that especially during those times, He is there to bring it all together. We must seek and respond. His Story, His Glory!!

Here is your stone!! "And I will give them singleness of heart and put a new spirit within them. I will take away their stony, stubborn heart and give them a tender, responsive heart," (Ezekiel 11:19 NLT). Praise God for His specific word. Simply put, we have to care and love. Hard Hearts Hurt others and and are selfish!!! That is not who we are called to be. Today and this week, focus on showing others, no matter if its the driver ahead of you or the co worker next to you. A softened heart will take you and others to a level that reflects the spirit of God!! Live this out!!!

Is your house ready for company?

Here is your stone!! "so that Christ may dwell in your hearts through faith....." (Ephesians 3:17 NIV). If we were asked to host a VIP, would we make the effort to get our house ready and to keep it up while they are there? As Christ followers the Holy Spirit is living in your heart. Is what He is experiencing while living there? Is it a place of honor, respect and love? Are there moments that you just might be uncomfortable knowing He is there and it might not be as clean as it could be? It is a daily walk physically and mentally to keep it ready. Live it out!!

How complete is your resume?

Here is your stone!! Have you ever seen a person's resume, where they have either left off a job they had or were so vague, as if they wanted to devalue its existence? It's part of You. It's not only your experience, it's a part of your history! No one else has the same resume. "Do your best to present yourself to God as one approved, a worker who does not need to be ashamed and who correctly handles the word of truth.". (2 Timothy 2:15 NIV). God has given us the handbook and He doesn't do a background check, He walks with you along the trail. Our focus is to know the responsibility we have and to "Live It Out!"
